thanks to [livejournal.com profile] smithereen, I read a super fantastic Community fic by [livejournal.com profile] dollsome who gets the characters dead on, and the meta - the glorious meta. And trashing of Bronte (not a spoiler alert, but just go read the whole damn thing, it's so good and reminds me of everything great about the show.)

I've been watching Community on hulu, and I know Glee is fandom's favorite, but seriously. Community, way more entertaining. It has KEN CHEONG in it. As Senor Chang! You cannot go wrong there.

I personally am a fan of Abed and Troy's riffs at the end of each episode. Troy! Abed!

Got sidetracked by paperwork for the K. embassy and such - I did not realize how much work is involved in leaving the country, but now I know. I still have to get the Secretary of State's office to look over my paperwork and get an Apostille.

So, Innocent Love photobooks coming along slower than molasses, but hey, Mukai Osamu's photobook is up still for those of you who missed it.

Community! I love Glee, too (... I love the music more than anything else, though) but Community is the new show that I'm really, really enjoying. I'm not overtly fannish about it, but so far every episode has made me laugh at least once, and comedies rarely entertain me like that.

I went in expecting nothing

and was pleasantly surprised - it took about 2 episodes for everything to gel properly for me, and they're really doing great work developing the characters - like, Pierce annoys me, but he's still endearing in a strange sad sack way. But I like how they're really making this an ensemble show, which is what I feel is missing from glee.

So you've decided to go to Korea first? Good luck with getting all of the paperwork done. That was one of the worst parts for me when I went to Japan.

I've watched a couple clips of Community. I admit to giggling when I saw the Spanish teacher was Asian.

but I'm still in the preplanning stage - ASK Now hasn't matched me up with a school yet, and I'm still going to go to the interview for Aeon in January, just for the experience. But yes, the paperwork. So. Tedious.

Wasn't that fic hilarious? Community is so great. I feel like it's really hitting it's stride. (Also Troy and Abed are one of the great buddy teams OF OUR TIME.)
