Old enough to know better, and young enough to not really care.

The separation between fanon and canon: My life as an imaginary rock star, recovering retail wage slave, world traveling, food obsessions, and my new adventures in South Korea is @ [TBA]

My obsessive desire to pick apart fake people and their fake epic love lives here. Along with other fannish inquisitions, poem-a-day tendencies, Asian drama snarkfests, and nom-de-plumes a plenty.

I am sometimes abrupt, cold, frequently awesome, self-aware in both pretentious and non pretentious ways, and I will not hesitate to cut you.

When I'm not breaking hearts and taking names, I'm much nicer than I sound. Usually. I just don't believe in half-assed disclaimers, that's all. (Read: the phrase you're looking for is "You're some kind of bitch, aren't you." And my answer is: I'm an AMAZING one.)

Due to fabulous changes in my life and I'm using sarcastic invisible airquotes, for the record, I'm not currently friending anyone. But [info]calledinvain is 90% open anyway, so you're not missing much. Except possibly epic rants full of swearing, and you'll have to drop me a line to get in on that kind of action.

I probably don't like what you like.

"There are so many fragile things, after all. People break so easily, and so do dreams and hearts...
Hearts may break, but hearts are the toughest of muscles, able to pump for a lifetime, seventy times a minute, and scarcely falter along the way. Even dreams, the most delicate and intangible of things, can prove remarkably difficult to kill."

-- Neil Gaiman, On the first day of Spring 2006

"The volume of writing is enormous, these days, and much of it has a sort of windiness about it, almost as though the author were in a state of euphoria. "Spontaneous me," sang Whitman, and in his innocence, let loose the hordes of uninspired scribblers who would one day confuse spontaneity with genius." -- The Elements of Style- William Strunk & E.B. White

Rest assured, I am not a genius.
