The subject line was originally going to be, "Esteban! In the car with the nun!" but as I doubt many of you were channel surfing between tonight's Alias and El Todo Poder (I'm going to have to get it on DVD, they bleeped out all the cursing, not that I would have understood it - but its just the principle of the thing) on univision - that probably would have made little to no sense.

GIP provided by the amazing big_distraction. I can't believe I haven't seen her icons before - but then again, as I am an antisocial hermit who rarely travels beyond her immediate friendlist, this is not terribly surprising. Go and marvel at the pretty.

Which is what this icon is doing to me, by the way. I have the widest grin on my face right now - my love for this movie is reaching dizzying and disturbing heights. Not only do I want to see it again this weekend, I also want to round up a collection of dance movies and have a mini dance movie-athon at my house. Stuff like Shall We Dance?, Strictly Ballroom, In the mood for love (Okay, not strictly a dance movie.), Billy Elliot, Dirty Dancing, Born Romantic, and Monsoon Wedding for the dance sequences..and just because that movie is so beautiful it makes me want to paint it. I also want to watch Chungking Express again. I'll have to make do with the soundtrack at the moment - there's something about listening to Faye Wong singing the Cranberries song that makes me think of summer --

and that's what's going on right now. We're in ice-cream weather. It's deceptively warm and I think I could sleep without covers tonight.

If I could write like a Wong Kar Wai film and dance like a Banana Yoshimoto novel - I wouldn't ask for anything ever again.

Okay, maybe really hot sex with someone incredibly attractive and then I would never have to see them ever again.

I could watch Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon again, but the ending never fails to make me cry. Every single damn time.

The last Tom Mcrae gig (for the moment) is tomorrow.
