After watching the mini series and episode 1 of Battle Star Galactica, my thoughts -

Dear Starbuck:

You're really annoying. Maybe I'll warm up to you as the series goes on, but right now - I'm tired of your bravado covering up your no doubt sensitive, traumatic past - I'm So Tough, cocky best top gun EVAH!!! attitude. Quick, get some layers before fandom woobies you to death!

Dear Jamie Bamber:

I kept on hearing about you from my friends, and I understand some of the fuss. It took me a little while to get used to your voice. I don't know why I expected it to be deeper, but there you go.

Dear Tyrol, Dualla, Billy, Cally, and all the other non-fighting, non-political figureheads aboard the Galactica:

I really like you guys - it's good to have supporting characters that I can get a strong sense of, and Billy and Dualla? You. Guys. Are. Too. Cute.

Dear Madame President:

You are so going to be an evil dictator, aren't you? Mary McDonnell, you RAWK. I like the quiet intensity you and Edward James Olmos bring, that gravitas and the not yet explored tug of war over power, because hahaha, WE ALL KNOW THAT'S COMING.

Dear the Other Adama:

Damn you and your noodle dishes. Now I want spaghetti.

Dear Boomer:

I haven't seen very much of you aside from the very well-lit shots (or is that just your skin?) but the vignette of your character is interesting, though I do wonder why they call you Boomer. As for your secret: DUDE. DUUUUUUUUUDE.

Dear Six:

At first I was slightly annoyed that you seemed to fit the scifi cliche of Uber Race, whether it was Alien or you know, non-human, *cough* and why it always seemed that the Viking Amazons always seemed to signify 'superior' species, either worshipped or feared, but you surprised me, you really surprised me. And I'm so jealous that you have the best theme tune in all the show. I want a theme tune, damn it!

saving the best for last:

Dear Gaius Baltar:

You are the sexiest worm in the galaxy and I hate/love you for it. You are insanely entertaining, and half the time I don't know whether to laugh, slap you, or hug you. Though I suspect that's far too tame for your imagination. Shades of Sidney Carton(sp?) here. More you!
