birthday round up
Nov. 17th, 2009 02:59 pmHappy birthday to
xiaobellsa and to
fivethreerin even though technically it's not the 18th over here yet and I'm all about here. *G*

A CA sunset just for you!
I got my CV back from the teacher placement services @ Oxford Seminars and I sent it back after making a few adjustments, so now I'm officially on track to talk with recruiters for Japan, though they also advised me to send out the CV again in January for Taiwan and Korea. I'm also looking at Aeon, particularly Amity because all of my practice was aimed at elementary/high school kids, though I think I'd be fine teaching adults too. Part of what is so attractive about Aeon & Amity is that they take care of the living arrangements right up front, though I understand some contracts will offer housing as part of the deal too (especially in Korea).
Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for good news to build on - the domestic market here is terribly stagnant right now and I don't have any more funds to get educated in an entirely different job path. I'm giving myself six months to find some temporary work to tide me over, and that almost always means retail, my old nemesis.
*shakes fist*
