I hate that feeling of being sideswiped by crazy - I was reading a fairly informative, critically-minded blog about j-dramas, and then as the objective review speak was intercut with more salacious fanboying and then a completely repugnant summary of a drama trope, I realized I had gone over the danger line - you know you're not going to agree with everyone and there's going to be some vociferous differences of opinions, but sometimes there's just this line of nastiness that you can't undo. I've cut journals because reading other people's opinions were beginning to actually make me angry instead of just 'agreeing to disagree' in a civil, mature manner.
And really. My fandom lj is about frivolous entertainment that sometimes (often) surprises me by how good it can be.
Still. Some people are just wrong.
