As it is the new year (how was yours? I fell asleep at 8:30 on New Year's Day and slept for about 15 hours), I did the obligatory Must Have New Hair! except it is not really new hair, as it is short, fringed, and chunky striped red, because red is pretty much my default color (and it looks the best on me). Mailed some more packages out, and caught up on two obsessions - the last ever episode of Green Wing, and the second season of Hana Yori Dango. The fangirl force, may it be with you.
(The geek is strong, young padawan. I feel a powerful squee.)
Work is the same as it ever was, meaning: repetitive, full of consumer assholes, and unexpected hilarity among my co-workers, only now I'm working 40- hour weeks full time and at less than minimum wage (thank you, college education! Thank myself for constantly undervaluing my worth!) per hour, so I'm basically swimming around the drain hole, waiting for the moment. Because I have a Big Moment coming - in March, I will be doing the Saff is Poor But That Has Never Stopped Her SEMI WORLD TOUR 2007! Yes, my little LJ popsicles, the second week of March, I will be returning to the birthland, and gracing (or defacing) New York City and then from there on to Manchester which has not been Madchester for quite a while now, but now it shall be SAFFCHESTER, and to London and ONWARD TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, SCOTLAND.
And Ireland for St. Patrick's Day!
And I will be traveling in style with two of my favoritest people ever, D & R! Or as their rockstar names go: Dare and Rebecca. I've already lined up accomodations for myself in NY (read: couches, yours, you could be lucky) and we're still planning the UK part of the trip, and I'm buying my NY tickets this weekend, and then getting grown up gorgeous luggage, and not eating anything in between! Oh, saving money is so much fun. About as much fun as going to the dentist and him telling you that you have to have emergency root canal surgery and they've just run out of anaesthetic. But March will all be worth it.
So, what should I (we) see and do in NY? Who shall I shamelessly make out with? Who deserves some serious glomping? It could be you.....
I will of course have to have my picture taken at the Imagine memorial, because YES.
