JULIA. I was so distraught when she wasn't in the show, as much as I loved it. She was definitely one of my favorites in the manga!

Now I'm going to be hoping for lots of Nakatsu/Julia interaction so I can have that OTP, too.

I hated that she wasn't in hana kimi, and this was purely the reason why I though hana kimi taiwan was better, individually (does that make sense) as opposed to overall. YES SHE IS VISITING!!! YES YES YES YES YES.

I wonder if I've made my point? YES. Just once more couldn't hurt. Now I really can't wait for the special.

Yeah, I thought it would have been nice if Julia was in the Japanese version because I am *so sure* that they would have casted an excellent actress for her and only increased the great hilarity of the show. I didn't like the Taiwainese version as much because the side characters didn't seem as strong as, say, Nakatsu was in the Japanese.

I think, although (and I do LOVE Ikuta Toma, so don't get me wrong) Jiro Wang is probably better looking as nakautsu and that Wu Zun is (yet I again I LOVE oguri shun, he is an awesome actor and very sexy in HYD) also probably better looking than oguri in hana kimi, the side characters were really forgettable, I couldn't distinguish noe and sekimie apart, and I don't remember any of their names, as apposed to the jap version, where sekemie, noe, the-aura-reading-guy-whose-name-has-just-slipped-my-mind, tennoji, oscar, nanba etc where so distict and equally unforgettable, despite having little screen time.

I really hope they pull this Julia thing off well. I think that in the Tw version, the english was good (fluent and without chinglish accent) and there was a good mix between mandarin and english. I would hate it if minami rarely spoke english, couldn't speak it or can't pull of blonde. (the promo pic makes her hair look like a wig)

Ah, yeah, I do agree about Julia though. It would be awesome if she could pull off being American properly (one of my greatest irks in dramas is engrish w/ a horrid accent) >_>
