better than sliced bread.
Nov. 12th, 2002 12:33 pmI stopped by the little sandwich shop near work, and there was a soap opera playing on the big screen in-house TV.
I am such a naive innocent. How could there be something this hilariously overwrought and bad on American Mainstream TV that I'm not aware of? Shhh, you. Yes, I'm repressing 'reality' shows and their ilk. But, generally, I avoid most American television -- Buffy, PBS, Spanish telenovelas and Asian soaps are the bulk of my tv watching habits...so I was in the dark about a show that tosses out lines like this:
"I'm not a vampire or any creature of the night...I'm just a musician."
COME ON. Begging for it, I tell you.
And re: musicians....I have a couple of stories that would beg to differ.
But yes. Apparently vampires, angels with bad stubble and beach combers regularly run rampant on this Port Charles thing.
Too bad I'm either at work or at school to actually watch this show.
But..yes. Genius.
