a question - what's your favorite love song? I was looking back on a mixlist I gave
saava a while ago, and while all my picks were about love, they were mostly songs after the incident, break up songs, melancholy tunes about the end. I don't know why those songs attract me more than the straight forward 'happy' songs, but they do.
I have the barest wisps of an project forming, but again, what's your favorite love song? Or more than one, I don't mind. I've uploaded a track from an album that was extremely important to me in my 18th year - I'm listening to the album on CD for the first time, and it's bringing it all back. I imagine I'll be spending the weekend writing marvelously self indulgent bad poetry (because, hey, I have two poetry classes this semester!) just because I Can.
I can also read a really fabulously silly page of gossip about the LoTR folk and giggle.
But back to the Album - I called it the Depressing Hot Sex With Skinny English men Album (and no, it's not a Pulp Album - that would be With Our Trouser Suit On, or a Morrissey album - Maladjusted Odds and Ends and Is that an Iris or are you Just happy to see me?) because the singer's voice reminds me of suede pants sliding on your hips. Then there'd be the guilt and the late night "why, oh why did we do that?" and fervent readings of Douglas Copeland and then falling into the back of a Fiesta and going at it like a French film.
The real mundane name of the album is Rialto, by the band Rialto. The track is called Untouchable.
