I just belatedly realized I have an annotated bibliography due tomorrow. I have to choose from either Middlemarch, Tess of D'Ubervilles, Howard's End, and Orlando.
Middlemarch - I caved in and cheated with cliffsnotes, I'm in the middle of reading Tess right now (and much to my amazement, am not hating it with the passion of a thousand burning suns. Perhaps I have wronged Hardy. Then again, am only in the first two or three phases into the book - the martrydom and the sexual politics haven't hit their melodramatic peak yet) and apparently every book in the school library system has been checked out for Tess anyway, so it's Orlando and queer theory.
My head hurts.
I'm sure if I had actually paid attention to the deadlines or had actual time to prepare something that wasn't half-assed, this'd be a lot more enjoyable. As it is, labels and reading through what exactly is queer theory and finding lots of personal pages about transgenderism and multiple dis-association personality syndrome and...blaaaaaaaaaagggggggggh.
*rips hair out*
*bangs head on desk*
Yes, I know, I brought it all on myself. I just felt the need to share and you know, flail about in my hair shirt.
waaah. am going to fail and am mgoing to end out on the streets making tofu sculptures.
