Tom Mcrae's Just Like Blood finally gets its U.S. release today. You can buy it at amazon.com, or at any retailer that carries Nettwerk releases (Borders, Circuit City, big Indie Stores (TM)). The release party is tonight at the Hotel Cafe, and doors open at 9 p.m.

I will be there early, because I have to make a pit stop at Amoeba, so I can buy JLB (there's two extra tracks on the US release - Streetlight and a live performance of Walking 2 Hawaii recorded from KCRW), and the new Tegan and Sara album, So Jealous. So Jealous kicks all kind of ass, by the way - my favorite songs are Walking with a Ghost, Take Me Anywhere, Speak Slow, and Fix You Up.

I woke up yesterday with a sudden case of the flu - the chills, fever, dizziness - bizarre muscle aches, but I feel a lot better today. Seriously, I'd have to be in a coma to willingly miss a Tom show.
