this is not conductive to my brain waves
May. 14th, 2005 08:50 pmWhile I was in England, specifically, Brighton - I went into this little new age/occult bookshop. There were cards and books outside, and they featured very simple black and white drawings and for the life of me, I can not remember the author's name. The only reason I remember them at all was because they made me laugh - I think one of the books was called the Lost Shoes of Happiness or whatever, and there were other things like a dinosaur and a pig, and then something about love - and it's driving me mad. I saw them at Borders as well, so I know they're fairly mainstream - does anyone in the UK know who I'm talking about?
When you don't have air conditioning, and the temperature is hovering around 80-90 F (26-32 C), and you are hot and sticky - that is when I miss England the most.
But California strawberries, man - oh yes.
