who becomes the stalker?
Oct. 14th, 2005 11:40 amOh. Wow. It's been a crappy week. I seem to be finding them more often, and what I would do for just an mundane, drama-free week, a day would be...I don't know, but it would be spectacular. Maybe the sacrifice of a small bag of rice or something.
( the crap, in no particular order )
As usual, my refuge in the shallow and inviting arms of pop culture.
My boss and I are supposed to see Wallace and Gromit tonight. I'm wondering if I should put off writing a paper so I can squeeze in a showing of Elizabethtown too, despite my active festering hate on for Kirsten Dunst. That's right, I'm coming out with a confession: I hate Kirsten Dunst's acting. I'm not too fond of her 'persona' either, but as we are in the same age range, I will maybe sway and allow that we are both finding ourselves. I just happen to find her trying to be cute too hard oh I'm an Ingenue and A Hipster annoying, and by god, if I have to see her tiny freakish baby teeth smile or her slouch all over another magazine cover or groping Jake Gyllenhaal (note: there is already one wacky and bohemian spirit woman in his life, and I believe her name is Maggie Gyllenhaal.) I MAY CUT THINGS.
You know, just to get that out there.
But uh, back to the movie that totally doesn't have any high expectations weighted all over it despite it being Cameron Crowe, and a bitching soundtrack, and shades of Say Anything, Garden State, Confessions of A Wallflower, Amelie all over it..........
Yeah. Patty Griffin's in it. And Judy Greer. And Susan Sarandon. And this Orlando guy. Who apparently had to talk in an American! Accent!
Did no one else besides me see Black Hawk Down? Granted, it was only a 15 minute appearance, tops, and there there was Hugh Dancy, and Ioan Gryffud...and dude, there was a lot of non-Americans in that American Soldier Movie, and I bought bras at Victoria Secret after the entire experience, because I needed a quick jolt of estrogen.
ANYWAY.
( the weekend! I hold these things to be true )
