DAMN YOU [livejournal.com profile] darkeyedwolf, I wasn't going to add any more
dramas in my already ridiculously unwieldy list (and this isn't even
including new stuff! this is older stuff!) and Painter of the Wind was
on it already, but now it's moving up the list like a bullet train.

Also, I blame you for Gira Gira, which I haven't even seen
yet, but it has Miki Maya, the oddly hot mechanic guy from Zettai
Kareshi, and one of the Hana Kimi bishonen with super awful bad hair.
HOW COULD I RESIST?

And Shibatora's 100% subbed now, which means, FINALLY, FINALLY, I can
watch it all in one go, after meaning to, but somehow keep on getting
sidetracked on.

Plus, all the Maki-related media I've been watching/scanning in the
past month. SO MUCH STUFF. SO LITTLE LJ-TIME.

and finally ~ I don't know whether to be relieved or disappointed that
Mola is not nearly as bad/HILARZ as I was hoping -- it's pretty
generic sounding, actually, but then again, it's JE. I'm not supposed
to expect ground-breaking.

watch this space for a youtube sponsored paean to Cute Guy, aka Emo
Piano Jesus Lamb Guy from Innocent Love.

Hint * He's really, really, really really cute.

Got back from seeing Slumdog Millionaire, one of the best films I've seen this year. Words like epic, visceral, stunning get tossed around I know, but finally a movie that actually delivers on a textbook promise: to entertain, to amaze, to delight. It's a simple enough story, but it's so well paced and the acting of fairly unknown actors --- I felt like I was witnessing something amazing.

And the soundtrack is bangin', as the kids say.

Seriously, go see this movie.

You want gripping, eyes-open romance and humor and danger and life? Choose this movie. Twilight is the emotional equivalent of dysentery compared to this.
