"Love sucks."
Feb. 5th, 2010 09:03 pmJust watched St. Elmo's Fire for the very first time, thanks to Hulu.com - and wow. A movie full of terrible people. And the characters that weren't morally repugnant, were hit with a huge dose of oh my god, WHY ARE YOU SO STUPID.
I spent at least twenty minutes shrieking, DON'T DO IT MARE WINNINGHAM, DON'T DO IT.
I mean, as awful as everyone was, I could definitely see the realism and breakdown of seven relationships in flux.
I think it's because I'm past the age that these characters are (early 20s - they were 22, fresh out of college) that I find a lot of their behavior frustrating if semi-understandable though frankly, why Emilio Estevez's Kirbo wasn't behind bars for stalking I will never know.
AND THAT GUY? NOT KOREAN.
