Things I am going to do today
1.Watch Phantom of the Opera
2. Drink some eggnog, take a moment, be bitter, and then end the new year on a high note.
3. Finish assembling presents, cards, sekrit projects, and cursing the scrapbook and ink cartridge industries with every fibre of my being.
4. Start spelling things the English way.
5. Finish uploading music to my Creative Micro so I have plane music, and then finish burning mp3 cds for the
trip (32 slots and almost done - packing this was easier than packing clothes, sadly enough.)
6. Buy post-its.
7. Remove dry laundry from garage and stuff into suitcases.
8. Take pictures for "Things I will miss about California/America" post.
9. Friends-lock my LJ. It's not permanent, it's just for when I'm away.
10. Cyn, you know that thing about that thing I was freaking out about last night? I'll try to get the stuff uploaded by tonight, and hopefully talk to you about it later.
11. Go to the Body Shop and stock up on yummy smelly stuff.
Happy New Year's eve to everyone on my FL, and to my Asian friends, HAPPY YEAR OF THE COCK.
Yes, I'm never going to get tired of that joke.

Date: 2004-12-31 01:39 pm (UTC)I love you for that. Thank you! ;) Hope you have a fantabulous time over here. Though personally, I think it'd be hard not to. *g* In case I haven't already mentioned it to you, I think you might like Camden Market and XFM (104.9) is a great radio station to listen to, just ask
HAPPY YEAR OF THE COCK.
Hee. Thanks. It just makes me think of The Office and Tim harassing poor Gareth.

Remove dry laundry from garage and stuff into suitcases.
When I first read that, I got all confused. Dry laundry in a garage? In this weather? Wouldn't it be awfully damp and cold? Why would someone put laundry in the garage, and how would they keep it really dry there?
Then I remembered that you're in California.
See? I really haven't been getting any sleep lately.

Date: 2004-12-31 03:04 pm (UTC)Also, go to St. Paul's Cathedral and climb all the way to the top (just keep following the signs that say, "Way Up"). It's kind of expensive, but absolutely worth it. I recommend doing that on a nice, clear day; I went on a grey, drizzly day and it was still fabulous, but it could have been better.
Also, go to the recreated Globe theater. Unfortunately, there won't be any productions going on while you're there -- it's only in the Summer -- but you can take a tour, and it's really neat.
Also, if you have a chance, get your hair cut at a Vidal teaching school. It's pretty cheap, and they do all kinds of funky stuff with color. One girl on my program got kind of addicted to it ('cause you don't ever know what they're going to do with your hair -- they just play around to learn the techniques) and she came in with different colored hair every couple weeks. By the end of the program she had no hair yet, but what she had was NEON pink. So cool.
Also, eat at Wagamama (http://www.wagamama.com/) at least once. I've told you this before, but you should do it.
Miss you.

Date: 2004-12-31 03:11 pm (UTC)That's cause you're meant to haggle! Often if I say that I can't afford it and start to walk away they lower the price. *g*
*covets your XFM postcard*

Date: 2005-01-02 04:49 am (UTC)I can offer stuff in return, as I actually live over here, and so can impart wisdom and good advice... or advice, at least!
I understand if not, I hate it when my friendslist become unwieldy too. Whatever, I hope you have a fantastic time!
