My company told us all to take a voluntary day off today as the air quality was incredibly bad surrounding our building - the sky was the color of an old bruise, it smelled like charred papers and burnt leaves, and there were ashes everywhere. Plus it was around 80-90 degrees....which is a little off, even for a Southern California October.

I finally saw Across the Universe, after being foiled at every turn. Eye candy galore.

I really want to see Lars and the real girl.
