Between rewinding the last five minutes of Hana Kimi [6] and reviewing the preview for episode [7], I think I've amused myself for about an hour coming up with scenarios, each one varying in loopiness and wish-fulfillment. Whatever the staff comes up with though will probably exceed/confound my expectations entirely.
I haven't even taken any captures of the episode, I've just been reliving That Moment on repeat. It's quite sad.
But when I do get around to recapping the ep (I've been swamped with double dutch ficcing with
kitsune714, regular fic processes), I'm playing with the idea of doing a MST (Mystery Science Theater)/DVD style commentary track on the episode along with the usual screen cap foolery. I would just need to find my old microphone hookup/get a recording program set up and then you would be an audience to my actual thought process in stereo. (!)
Then again, it also sounds like a lot of time and effort I'd rather be using for other projects. Maybe an individual voice post instead.
My immediate reaction was, 'well, the reason why Mizuki's going back home to America is because all the boys in Japan (with the exception of Sekime) are gay, and as nice (nay, essential) for a girl to have a pack of gay boyfriends, it does rather put a crimp on having a romantic interlude.' Unless we get into OT3s, and then that's just another post for ANOTHER DAY.
My second reaction was: dear lord, Kagurazaka's hair is HUGE. I fear it may attack Tokyo next.
Third and last reaction? Umeda-sensei ninja-ing it about, Hibari 4 in black? Bring it ON, baby.

Date: 2007-08-09 06:04 am (UTC)I have to ask: what is That Moment? I can tell it has glorious potential if only because of the title you've given it and the fact that you're rewatching it so much, but I need to know more!
The Moment
Date: 2007-08-09 06:40 am (UTC)[now I'm going purely by visual context of the scene, certainly not my mad linguistic skillz]
And she's yelling at him, about how worried she is and then he tells her something that obviously affects her deeply, because now she's crying and Sano looks mildly alarmed (yet all through this, he's been looking at her intently, with this mixture of warmth and exasperation) and I think they're calling each other stupid nicknames they were teasing each other with earlier on in the episode, but Mizuki's blinking back tears and Sano's just watching her closely and THEN SLO MO KICKS IN AND HE GRABS HER INTO A HUG of comfort and let me make this all better EVEN FOR JUST A LITTLE WHILE, and the music goes all happy and Nakatsu walks by (but sadly he is not the focus of this Moment) and Sano is hugging Mizuki tightly and her eyes are HUGE and the camera pans to Sano's face and he just looks like he wants to hang on, and there's a camera swoop and all you see is Sano's arms and Mizuki obscured by his body and it is JUST A MOMENT OF INCREDIBLE FREAKING GLEE, SIX EPISODES IN AND FINALLY, FINALLY, A HONEST TO GOD OTP moment where neither party is drunk or pissy.
So. Uh. Yeah.
I've only been rewinding it like a crazy person.
Also, yeah, Hi, Shun's tallness. I thought I'd never refer to you again!

Date: 2007-08-09 10:53 pm (UTC)I mean, seriously, just THINK of all the awesomeness THAT will lead to in the next scene. Not to mention the reverbs of Sano's newly-realized feelings for Mizuki!!
oh yeah, I read those previews too.
Date: 2007-08-09 10:55 pm (UTC)AH, EPISODE 7, I ALREADY LOVE YOU.

Date: 2007-08-10 12:18 am (UTC)(and oh my gosh, sekime barges in with news that, "sano has cleared the required height for regionals!" everyone is stunned and mizuki runs out and finds sano, and she, instead of being all squealy and congratulatory actually yells at Sano, berating him for not calling her to watch him jump because she has been sooo worried, and Sano just says, "That was nothing at all."
and then he tells her he doesn't want her to see it yet, because he wants her to see him really jump at the Nationals.
Ohmygoodnessbestillmyheart.
and as Sano hugs Mizuki, she finally realises that she likes him! and the build-up from her mom's prep talk about finding out you like things only after you've had them around for a while just.... oooooh)
im so in love with them both. *squishes Sano and Mizuki*
you win the internets.
