Am going to sell off all of my Ouran High School Host Club manga - it was between that or Skip Beat! and...grudge Kyokos always win, no matter how much I find Haruhi adorable.

In that face-off, Kyoko will always win for me, too. I think part of it is how Kyoko is so willing to take charge of her destiny while Haruhi is pretty passive about life. I stopped reading Ouran High School Host Club when Haruhi started developing feelings for Tamaki, which I wasn't fond of as I don't like him.

Good luck with the job hunt. I'm needing to get started on that myself...

Kyoko's spitfire personality and how she is driven to succeed has always been a favorite with me, while Haruhi's more laid back, oddly blunt observation of the weirdness that happens whenever one of the boys does something is also a favorite - I mean, in Ouran, there has to be a a straight guy to balance out all the gag/hijinks the boys do, though I suppose Mori and Kyoya also function as the voices of steady sanity. It was hard to choose, but I had to do it. Tamaki is a spaz bot, yes - I don't know how I feel about the pairing really, because it's both the obvious choice and yet, for a manga that started out as a satire of the shoujo harem format, Bisco Hatori could have made it a lot more interesting if she chose to go a defiantly ambiguous/gen angle or paired Haruhi up with, I don't know, Mori.

The job hunt has been dismal. Every day, i send out at least two resumes and nothing has nibbled in the white-collar, office monkey world (a position I didn't particularly like, but it was the only job that paid me a decent living wage.)

One reason why I liked Haruhi was because she was so level-headed in her way of thinking. I was always rooting for Haruhi to end up with either Kyouya or Mori, and it makes me sad that won't ever happen. I am curious as to how the manga ends (if it has already ended).

Ugg. That's not cool. I hope something nibbles for you soon. That's probably the type of job I'll end up looking for as I pretty much just need something that will support me (and I have no clue what I really want to do with my life).
