[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714 just informed me Code Blue 2 started, and is watching it out of a strange car wreck fascination. I ceased to care about Yamapi past Kurosagi, so I haven't really watched any of his shows. This is how our buddy system works. I watch shows she won't touch and vice versa. And sometimes, we just both go for the bad decision. An executive fail, if you will.

[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: OH, 23 SECONDS IN
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: AND FIRST ERROR.
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: CHEST X RAY FLIPPED BACKWARDS
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: OBVIOUSLY THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG.
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: BECAUSE YOU'RE LOOKING AT IT THE WRONG WAY
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: THE WRONG WAY
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714:OH NO.
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: OH NO, YAMAPI.
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: WAIT.
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: THAT'S NOT A PERM.
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: OH NO.
[livejournal.com profile] calledinvain: i said so, didn't I.
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: WHAT ARE YOU DOING.
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: OH, STOP THAT.
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: WHAT ARE YOU DOING.
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: OH MY GOD, GET AWAY FROM THE BABY
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: GET AWAY FROM THE BABY
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: YAMAPI NO
[livejournal.com profile] kitsune714: GOD, JAPAN.

Me, I find very little to get indignant about jdramas' (except the usual plot, story issues) creative license issues regarding my profession and interests, other than the occasional, "Gee, I wish they'd stop portraying English teachers as slutty, shiftless, drunken slobs." (and this is only a small handful of shows, mind you, and not all in one character)

see....those comments are precisely why i stopped watching that show. and partly why i have a very hard time watching any medical shows(american ones too--- curse you medical degree for ruining blissful ignorance).

it's not just you

D constantly says her job ruins all medical shows because she can't just sit back and turn her brain off for the escapist entertainment factor - which also means amnesia story lines and any medical related trauma plotline on a drama is instantly mocked.

I just couldn't watch it because Yamapi as a doctor who saves!lives! with a helicopter! is too ridiculous even for me. He just doesn't have the chops or the hair for me to buy it.

im always going "you morons, you are putting the ekg leads on wrong...tachycardia...wtf his heart rate is 40!" The only reason I managed to watch Three Rivers and various other medical shows is A)theres an obscenely hot guy or B) mocking factor.

This is true too.

Heh, my friend and I do that with medical dramas too. I think we've reached a point where it's less horror and more amusement, though, like- "oh, those silly directors... obviously it can't be Marfan's."
