besides the melding of beautiful cultures, service to the community, self awareness and journey of growth, delicious food, history, culture, and unreasonably attractive people:

I'M BACK, WORLD.

36,000 won a MONTH FOR THAT SPEED. NO CONTRACT. SUCK ON IT, ATT&T.

This kind of makes up for the engineer being two hours late to install the line. ALMOST.

BUT YES. I'M BACK.

I saw this and the theme to Superfriends came on....IN MY MIND

Even though I wasn't all that wowed by the Winter Olympics (completely due to NBC's terrible coverage and that I didn't recognize about 95% of the athletes competing), the re-introduction to Johnny Weir was lovely.

This is just a fantastic picture. I like to think that they went out and fought crime afterwards.

if you would like me to send you a postcard from Korea

The feel of a book in your hands, the binding against your fingers, the smell of the pages - a book is an experience. Plus you can read it in the bath.

That said, if you can't use a library because you forget to return things on time, and you don't have disposable income to buy an ebook reader, and you'd like to stay on the right side of the law (because you never know who might be watching you)

These websites contain books that have passed into public domain (in the United States, at least - it may be different for other countries) and you know, most of them are classics for a reason.

Anyway, if I can find some hot tea in this house - I seem to have an over abundance of iced tea mixes, I know I'll be curling up with some Agatha Christie tonight.

and now I am sharing the greatness to you: Pride & Prejudice, in emoticons. It made me giggle for a minute or so, and sometimes that's all you need for the morning.

Now, I must go and buy the rest of the ingredients for my Christmas present cookies.

one day. Just like how I'm going to finish Swann's Way at some point before the new year (I bought it a year ago? I think.) but until then, I may just spend my time marveling at how creative and weird and insane Every Page of Moby Dick Illustrated is.

And it makes me wonder if there's a book in my life that I'd illustrate every page of it?

I might enjoy that more than Nanowrimo.

do you believe in forever? how about right now?
click on love & marriage - I find his photography whimsical, inspirational, and romantic

finishing April Bride, and man. It'd be nice if I had an Eita in my life. Or a Yujin Kitagawa. Or a Dave. It wouldn't be necessary, as I do not need a man, but it'd be nice to have one around for moments like these.

I still can't wrap my head around the fact that it's December, and 2010 is just around the corner.
