I mean, she hasn't had any time to deal with it, so she's definitely not rational about it. And I can understand her emotional response and her anger. Even though I think she is wrong.

other things I loved about the premiere:

Jack, Jack, Jack - when Syd's voice cracked on telling Spydaddy that Vaughn had gotten married and Jack went into uberprotective mode, I just melted. And sniffled a little - that was the most emotion I had about the entire Syd/Vaughn fiasco. I've never been a shipper, I'm really into the gen for Alias (or Spy!Parent Sex. Rwwwarrrrrrr. They are IT.)

Syd's face when she looked back from Carrie to Marshall proudly announcing the event of a Baby Flinkman.

Yet another Atrocious Blonde Wig on Assassin!Syd.

The continuing homage to Run Lola Run's hair. That was such a Franka do, oh yes.

Action!Weiss. Mmmmm. Weiss in stealth black and being all gentle and caring and supportive.

Things I didn't like so much:

No Irina. *sob* I mean yeah yeah Jack went into cahoots with her, but I want visuals, dammit.

No Sark. Jack grew a mountain man beard when he went into the pokey, Sark got his choirboy hair cut off. It's a hard time for hair, these days.

The very wonky Will survived The Great Burning, Francie is she or is she not dead thing and the Fake Real DNA thing.

I just hope the explanations don't drag out too long.

The music.

Limp bizkit? Like Summer would say....Like, ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Things I'm looking forward to:

Mrs. Vaughn, aka Lauren Reed. I flipped channels and caught a bit of Melissa George on the Charmed premiere, and have decided on the spur of the moment, she is my new Blonde Heroine crush (as Buffy is off the air now, le sigh.). Whatever happens from the situation between Sydney and Vaughn and whatever rumors come true in the future (read: jealousy on one or both of those two parts), the person I'm going to automatically feel sorry for is her.

There's going to be some getting along in the future at least, I saw her driving the getaway car that Sydney's in....

Marshall on a caper.

More Action!Weiss.

Also, when I looked at the pictures of Justin Theroux, my first initial horrified reaction was..."Oh no, it's that horrible Irish character/caricature from Full Throttle."

ETA: For interested parties, the WB.KTLA5 are throwing a premiere party for Smallville and Angel from 4 to 11 p.m. at the Grove in Los Angeles, Wednesday. And stars are supposed to be on hand.

it was wonky that that the great fire that decimated syd's apartment, left 'her' in a burnt out mess of DNA and god knows what else, and that Will, who had been brutally attacked and BLEEDING, left in a bathtub to die, would remain unharmed. It was just the sheer logistics of the set up. I like Will, but it was just the explanation of that night wasn't something I was terribly fond of.
