Well. My love for the OC is at an all time ridiculous and disturbing high.
I think that's good, you know? A healthy foundation for a relationship - that element of terror.
But....
I just have to say...
the body popping? the bonding? Dandy Warhols? The sailing of two new shiny slash ships?
There is no bad here.
I feel nothing for Marissa. Contempt, indifference...she's plaster. In the background, possibly necessary for the foundation of a house, but - I'm sorry, Mischa Barton does nothing for me in that role. She has a thankless task, trying to bring life to what is essentially a tv movie weep character of the week every week - but....nothing. I got nothing.
Meanwhile, I love love love LOVE love the Cohens, Anna, and tonight, I even liked Luke and Julie! Shocking, I know. Ryan and Summer are adorable, but all my affection is toward the Cohens and Miss Stern.
"What are you doing Friday night?"
Rwwwwoorr. Bring on the Sass!
and...the BOXER DANCE.
I Love This Show.
ETA: As much as I love my girl Anna - it pains me to admit that they made her look all Sandy Duncan in tonight's ep. Sandy Duncan with an edge, but Sandy Duncan nonetheless. That hair should not go with a grey cardigan and orange shirt. It was much better in the library and she was back in signature pink (I love a character who seems to be swathed in pink/headgear a great proportion of the time. It must be blind love.)

Date: 2003-11-27 07:22 am (UTC)Would it be very wrong for me to make a Kirsten/Sandy OTP icon? Hee. Oh, so much love for this show. It's so wrong, and yet so very right.
oh man, I'm so with you.
Date: 2003-11-27 11:24 am (UTC)They keep on doing that terrible flippy thing to Kirsten's hair. What the fuck is up with that shit, yo?
Deb is on the OC train. I thought I'd just giggle now.
And yeah, you're not alone with the Summer and Anna being friends thing..they were ADORABLE.

Date: 2003-12-01 08:55 am (UTC)In the meantime, I think the only bad about this show is Marissa. I think Saff's referring to her as plaster is pretty accurate. She is bland and has no personality. None! Everybody has a personality but her. It's very disconcerting. She really serves no purpose except to have Ryan kissing a girl or wanting to kiss a girl, honestly. Heh.
But, hey! Marissa gives us Julie and this pleases me.
