So, last night was the last time I watched any of ABC's 'comedies' voluntarily.
This is of course all Victor Garber's fault.
But it was muy amusing to see Victor all tricked out as an interior decorator with a little soul patch and an outraged sensibility. I love Victor Garber.
The actor who plays the son on "It's all relative" reminds me of an older John Hensley. He is not so cute that I would continue watching "It's all relative."
Speaking of cute...
The OC. I heard two guys talking about it this morning. They were talking excitedly about subplots and the drama...and the really hot chicks, but YOU KNOW they were really just glossing on the entire Luke-Ryan tension.
Also, number #45690 in the long list of "You know when Slash has eaten your brain" - was when I saw the music video for Travis' (yeah, hi. Remember them? They were before Coldplay? Scottish? Yes, that's them.) new song, "Repeat Offender" and when i saw the bruise makeup and the fighting that was going on in it...did I think, oh, how cute, they're making a break up/band politic/people growing apart statement?
No.
I did not.
Instead, I thought..."oooo, rough trade."
Hello, I'm going to the bad place.
other exciting things - as I was walking to the parking structure last night, I spotted a baby!oliver on the escalator (Oliver being well, the made up character in my collection of short stories, ie, a cycle, thank you for the fancy English Major Talk). It was weird.
And then today, I stumbled upon an entire group of English/Scottish International students in the computer lab.
It's like the heavens opened up.
I guess I'm finally making up for all the eye-candy I haven't been seeing for the past few weeks (in boys. I see cute girls EVERYWHERE. I *know* beautiful girls. It's a never ending candyland.)
one more random note about the OC: Adam Brody is just....I mean, there's the lickable and then there's the run off with him in a picnic hamper thing - cos OH MY GOD, THAT GREEN SHIRT.
SO MUCH PRETTY.
I love the Cohens.
( mild Summer thoughts, maybe spoilerish )
