Yesterday I went to the first day of Anime Expo 2007.

Hana Kimi promotional round up - brand new pictures of Maki as Mizuki can be found over at d-addicts here. Cue inevitable, "OMG WHY IS SHE SO CUTE?" I've uploaded some screencaps of Maki, Shun doing their bit for the dog and pony show over at my HK scrapbook. Toma (Nakatsu) has been posting nice behind the scenes posts over at Tomapi Rant (google plz), and if you can sit through an hour or so of Maki and that guy from Nana (the slutty one, no, the other one) eating things, a video is up here.

A mv for the Taiwanese version of Hana Kimi here. I would like to state for the record, Wu Zun (or Chun)'s arms are what make this video for me. Tattoos! So not Sano! But who cares? ARMS.

In JUST THREE DAYS, the Japanese Hana Kimi will air, and then next week will be my golden week. If the internet connection gets fixed in time, that is. I'm at the library right now.

And because I'm at the library, and I don't want to abuse this public resource, I can't post my giant, the moment I knew that This Was Going to Be MY OTP post on Kurosagi, and why I love Kurosaki and Tsurara so much, illustrated with screencaps, and flailing!, but I uploaded the screencaps, at least. That scene. Frame by frame, practically.

Just think Margaret Atwood's poem "Variation on the Word Sleep," the usually awful Gwyneth Paltrow's being oddly sweet and endearing and tragic lines to Luke Wilson's character in The Royal Tennebaums about having to be secretly in love with each other all our lives (or something similar), and you know what? It doesn't have to be epic. It just is.

Maybe it's not just your lips that are vexing...maybe it's all of you!

I (impatiently) await your OTP post with glee and squee.

You know who has tattoos in my personal canon? Kurosaki. And maybe Tsurara gets one to match. Despite all I know about Hep C transmission and my refusal to ever get inked, ever, I find tattoos on fictional characters incredibly appealing.

I knooooow. And it hurt so good!

I love the way some tattoos look, especially the tribal ones, and I just finished this completely raw, painful yet luminous memoir from a yakuza's daughter, who in the process of getting a tattoo, reinvents who she is as a person and saves her life. What kind of tattoo does K have in your canon?

I think tattoo design is really fascinating, in that some of it is just so intricate. And it's not like you can erase if you mess up, you know?

I'm always looking for book recs -- what's the name of the memoir?

What kind of tattoo does K have in your canon?

Ooh. I like the idea of him having something intricate and detailed on a shoulder blade, or etched on the inside of a wrist. I actually thought about Tsurara getting one to match and sort of expounded on it here, in IX (http://kitsune714.livejournal.com/161262.html), but was too lazy to consider what it might be, exactly. I think K is too cool to go for something cheesy like kanji or words, but I sort of like the concept of him getting a 'sagi' type symbol in a drunken blitz after his first swindle. (AAANGST!)

Hi, I've never commented you before but I'm always lurking around your lj for your Kurosagi stories (Which own my soul, btw) and your Hana Kimi news, so I thought I'd finally comment.

Would you mind if I added you?
