I watched Crows Zero and Kurosagi: the Movie. In a fight who wins?
Oguri Shun, that's who. C:0 was just the more satisfying movie on nearly every level.
Depending on how it goes in episode 6, I think I'm going to put Zettai Kareshi on hold, as I really can't take any more of Riko at the moment, and I'm on Team Robot. Hiro Mizushima however, is still awesome.
Last Friends is still great even though I find myself mentally fast forwarding anything to do with Michiru and Sousuke, which is probably not what the producers intended.
I'm still waiting on subs for Kimi Hannin Janai! even though the plot is pretty thin and repetitive and it's ridiculously easy to find out who the perp is in every case, something about Kaname Jun and Kanijya Shihori's hijinks continue to amuse. She's just so bemused at howstupid, oblivious he is, it makes me cackle in recognition. Because really. Kaname Jun gives great idiot face.
And then there's Ai Nante Irane Yo, Natsu, which I picked up because it has Hirosue Ryoko and Tatsuya Fujiwara in it - I discovered Hirosue through this quirky little movie about what rock and roll means - Iden & Tity, using the lyrics of Bob Dylan, and she has this very calming presence on screen. And just because I'm interested in seeing what Tatsuya is like outside of his stage roles - which, incidentally, his Romeo is hilarious to watch, because the enunciation and shouting at the same time? GREAT FACES.
and this bit of news from tokyograph:
"Shibatora," a manga written by Tadashi Agi (under the pen name Yuma Ando) and illustrated by Masashi Asaki, is being turned into a live-action series this summer. The popular comic currently runs in Weekly Shonen Magazine and has so far sold 420,000 volumes.
The comical story revolves around a young-looking detective named Taketora Shibata (nicknamed Shibatora). Because of his appearance, he is able to easily blend in with the juvenile delinquents he deals with on a regular basis.
Tsuguaki Tatematsu, the Fuji TV producer in charge of planning for the series, said that after reading the comic, his only choice for the lead role was WaT's Teppei Koike. Koike happily agreed to play the part, which will be his first time starring in a television series.
Nikkan Sports reports that Suzuka Ohgo will play the heroine, while Muga Tsukaji (of Drunk Dragon) plays a former genius hacker. Miki Maya and Daisuke Miyagawa play Shibatora's co-workers. Tsukaji's comedy partner, Taku Suzuki, is also in the cast, along with Koji Imada as a guest actor.
Fuji TV will air the drama on Tuesdays at 9:00pm, starting in July.
Suzuka Ohgo! Yay! And I like Teppei.
Also, I find it hilarious that Kimura Takuya's Change couldn't unthrone Gokusen 3's opening episode. Even though I'm not watching Gokusen 3 (3 too many), Yankumi toasted Kimura Takuya. (and Abe Hiroshi! D:)

Puppet of the Producers
Date: 2008-05-14 06:40 am (UTC)Internet + itunes = on the fritz, so I'm yet to watch the movie.
Teppei is horribly cute.
And I am still going to watch Gokusen 3. It'll be exactly the same, but I can't help it. I am a self confessed conformist.
Re: Puppet of the Producers
Date: 2008-05-14 06:54 pm (UTC)I'm intrigued to what Eri's past could be, and I loooooove Takeru.
Crows Zero is a hella lot of fun and Shun is pretty amazing in it, though his lead co-thug is a total scene stealer. I'm so happy that there's going to be a sequel to the movie.
Gokusen 3 is as I've read somewhere (probably D)- is a copy of a copy so that it's practically paperthin.
I should learn to read
Date: 2008-05-17 01:03 pm (UTC)Yes, I love Eri, I feel I can relate to her the most. I think her past will revolve around something like her co-workers (she always has shots at the airport), or something friend related, as opposed to love related, but hey what do I know? I have given up on television psychology.
Shun works himself way too hard, he seems to be some sort of drama factory.
Is Cows Zero the one where Shun is like a gangsta/tough and Yamada Yu (that's his current girlfriend right? I get so confused these days) acts as his love interest?
uh. no.

Date: 2008-05-14 12:17 pm (UTC)...so basically, it's 21 Jump Street. EXCEPT WITH TEPPEI.
I actually really like Zettai Kareshi, but you know, I'm totally not on Team Robo. Night is...yeah, he kind of creeps me out. HIRO FTW.

Date: 2008-05-14 01:47 pm (UTC)Kimi Hannin Janai! is okay. I kind of like it, but it also kind of bores me... hmmm.
I also have the first ep of Ai Nante Irane Yo, Natsu, but I haven't started it yet. Looks interesting, though.
Change is finally airing - why did they start it so late?
