cheaper by the dozen: or there are too many damn children in Iljimae

I just finished watching episode 1 of Iljimae, and am downloading the second one, even sans-subs to see if it will clarify some of the mass confusion and flow-chart destruction that episode 1 left in its wake.

There are four main characters, but in the flashback? No less than SEVEN kids have been introduced. As I was complaining to D, it is very difficult to pick out who's going to be the Love Triangle, who's going to be the murderous thug in power, who's the tertiary couple, who's the comic relief when the numbers are working against you.

I'm enjoying it so far, but it is very very convoluted and confusing.
