YOU GUYS. Meisa's Sony-sponsored official website has just been updated with a snazzy flash interface and a sneak preview of her new PV for "Criminal" which is off the CHARTS RIDONK.

I swear to God, Japan has been reading fannish LJs or Meisa just has a much better sense of humor than people have given her credit for because there is FAKE MINI MOVIE SET UP, VOICE OVERS, AND VAMPIRES.

It opens up on a sort of bacchanal, with masks and Meisa struts in looking appropriately badass - she goes between two extremes of very feminine and very androgynous/butch. Either way, she CAN CUT YOU. There is a portentous American Voice Over and it's set up like all awesomely bad action movies must start - beautiful girl, some prophecy, promise of violence and blood and then....


Meisa smiles, and has vampire fangs.

VAMPIRES. THE OLD BLACK, AND NOW IN ASIAN.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Or I don't know, stare at the sight of Meisa backdancing for herself, YET AGAIN (I'm pretty sure there were shots of her clones dancing behind her.)

But in all seriousness? I am going to love [hellcat] (album art is up too, along with liner notes) like a small child who has just gotten a key to the BIGGEST CANDY STORE IN THE WORLD.

SWEET POWER IS AWESOME. Meisa'll be at the Japanese MTV awards this year, so I expect whips and chains or something on the red carpet. Because you gotta mix it up, am I RIGHT?

and in case you've missed it, The Littlest Hobo has a CM and Maki is running, running, as fast as she can.

I HAVE TOO MUCH STUFF I HAVE TO WRITE FIRST, THAT'S WHY.

I have random drama snippets, a remix of a JE White day fic to write, and then the intensely fascinating world of kpop meets sweet power (ie. PRETTY PRETTY KOREAN BOYS MEET M&M) BECAUSE IN MY HEAD, I'M ALWAYS 19 YEARS OLD.

But ahem. yes. Vampire AU Fic. so ridonk it'd be FABULOUS.

I once thought about including a Meisa/Jin scene in one of my (abandoned) Yamaki fics, merely because I thought the best friend ought to meet the best friend. The results, writing-wise, were disastrous, but it should be interesting to note that no amount of love I held for JE boys stopped me from going, "PFFFFFFFT SHE'D EAT HIM ALIVE!" and discarding the idea altogether. And I was supposed to be a Jin fan. XD

BUT YES. I AM ALL FOR VAMPIRE!MEISA. VAMPIRE!MEISA (OR ANY KIND OF MEISA) > ANY JE BOY.

I mean I think Sweet Power girls in general > JE boys, just because of that quality of cheeky independence almost all of them exude - sure they'll give the requisite Japanese soundbite about getting married and love and etc, etc like they're supposed to, but in the roles they take and the way they act (Maki famously said she was not the kyaah kyaah type) and Meisa being known as a reticent character until recently, they don't need the drama that getting with a JE boy inevitably invites, unless it's a Different Kind of JE boy. And really, the entertainment world, small as it may be, is still chock full of way more awesome guys/talents to work with/makecute with, you know?

Not that Jin/Meisa can't be done well with a degree of realism, etc, etc, because you know, skilled writers can do it. But just IMO, Meisa wouldn't go for any of the current idol types unless it was in a gay boyfriend way, or it was a sempai. Or possibly Toma. He was her OTP in the stage version of Azumi, after all.

But Meisa, in our fanon, is always either with Ken (her real boyfriend), Shirota Yuu (tall leggy and hapa like she is!), Maki, or just being omniscently awesome.

I think it says a lot for Meisa, actually, that in almost all her dramas she's been with an OMGit'sHIM!type of idol (Kame, Nino, etc) or an OMG actor (Shota and Oguri and now Yuta!) and yet she hasn't been swept into it. I actually pity Inoue Mao, spunky though she is, because Hana Yori Dango is to her what Pride and Prejudice is to Colin Firth (Matsujun is saved because he has Arashi). I mean, Meisa's got Ken and her agency accepts his existence. Sweet Power is so cool.

And I am really liking either Toma or Shirota with her. *_* The endlessness! BUT Maki will always win, hands down. ;)
