kind of a blur. went to manager's halloween bash last night dressed as a bollywood queen - had the sari already, just needed several more bangles, a petticoat for said sari, and a little bag. And some decorative facial ornamentation - contemplated getting my nose pierced for about five seconds, then chickened out and had my ears re-pierced instead.

And my eyebrows threaded, for the first time.

Allegedly, the party was supposed to be my manager attempting me to set me up with one of his friends (non gay, obviously), but friend got stuck in Santa Monica, so he totally missed out on the hotness that was me.

Good things yesterday:

a buffet lunch at the India Restaurant (I love you Pioneer Boulevard)
hanging out with my nearest and dearest
my eyebrows - they are perfect glamorous arches - I'll have to get them done again after a few months - Muni beauty salon does the entire process with additional *scissor trimming* for only six bucks
coconut, mango barfi (candy - it's all creamy and buttery and just sugar) and mango lassi @ Bombay Sweets
driving with the bend it like beckham soundtrack blasting on high
the time change - an extra hour!
the party after we started playing catch phrase - the initial first two hours were kind of awkward and slow, and then i started drinking a mike's hard lemonade, and then things didn't seem to matter so much anymore
mike's cat
my makeup

bad things:
taking so goddamn long to get ready - I missed having Rosey's magic hands help me tie my sari this time around, and I ended up with it backwards and inside out at one point, but it sort of resembled what a sari should look like by the time I left the house
C spilled some mineral makeup (black) on the new carpet. Used hot water and detergent to wash it out when I got home, and only if you look really closely would you ever know that there was a stain
having to go into work today

oh yeah, pictures:

how you feeling? hot hot hot! )

updated my flickr with my brand new wedding hair:

Despite the coloring, my hair in real life is a bright shade of pink. Rest assured, my dress and my shoes are classic, pastel shades of pink and mauve. This is post-MAC make over as well, though I did swipe most of my lipstick off and took off the false lashes (have to perfect them tomorrow), so it is possible to come out of MAC with a next to natural looking face...and not as Bunny "Glitter" Adams, pole dancing diva.

Clothes shopping was a nightmare, so was glad that when I went into MAC, got unexpected compliments (even if it was really a sales pitch - the makeup artist liked my skin and my lips)

Now. off to clear off the battleground - exfoliating bath scrubs and feet soak.
